This Privacy Policy describes how North Coast Collective, LLC and North Coast Joint Ventures (together, “North Coast,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you download, install, or use the North Coast JV mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store (the “App”), and when you interact with related services such as in-app ordering, loyalty rewards, and notifications.

By creating an account, using the App, or otherwise providing information to us, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

This Policy is intended to meet Apple App Store and Google Play Store disclosure requirements and to explain our practices in plain language. It also applies to information collected through our website at northcoastprovisions.com when used together with the App.

2. Age Restriction

The App and our retail services are intended only for adults who are 21 years of age or older and legally permitted to purchase cannabis products in Michigan. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 21, we will delete that information and close the associated account.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide

When you register, update your profile, join our loyalty program, place an order, or contact us, you may provide:

  • Name and contact details (email address, phone number)
  • Account credentials (username and password)
  • Date of birth (for age verification)
  • Delivery or pickup preferences and addresses
  • Loyalty membership details and redemption activity
  • Order history, product preferences, and communications with support
  • Photos or other content you choose to upload (if a feature is enabled)

We do not store full payment card numbers in the App. Payment processing, if offered, is handled by third-party processors.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • Device information and identifiers (device type, operating system, unique device or advertising IDs, app version)
  • Usage data (screens viewed, features used, clicks, session duration, crash logs)
  • Approximate or precise location, when you grant permission, to show nearby stores, support delivery/pickup, personalize offers, and improve App functionality
  • Push notification tokens and notification interaction data
  • Diagnostic and analytics data to maintain and improve the App

3.3 Information From Other Sources

We may receive information from our point-of-sale and loyalty systems, store staff when you shop in person and link your account, and service providers that help us operate the App. We may combine that information with data collected in the App.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Create and manage your account and loyalty membership
  • Process mobile orders for pickup or delivery and communicate order status
  • Track, award, and redeem loyalty points
  • Personalize product recommendations, menus, and in-App content
  • Send transactional messages (order confirmations, account notices)
  • Send marketing and promotional notifications, product drops, deals, and event alerts, where you have opted in
  • Verify age and comply with Michigan cannabis laws and licensing rules
  • Analyze App performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
  • Respond to customer support requests
  • Meet legal, regulatory, tax, and recordkeeping obligations

5. Location Information

If you grant location permission, the App may collect precise location while you use it. Location is used for App functionality (nearest store, delivery eligibility), product personalization, analytics, and, where permitted, marketing. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings. Some features (such as store locator or delivery) may not work fully without location.

6. Push Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications about orders, loyalty activity, new products, promotions, and events. You can turn notifications off in the App or in your device settings. Transactional notices related to an order you placed may still be sent by email or other means as needed to complete the transaction.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing without your consent.

We may share information with:

  • Service providers that host the App, send messages, provide analytics, process orders, operate loyalty, or provide IT and security support, under contracts that limit their use of your data to our instructions. These include Courier Plus, Inc. (doing business as Dutchie), which provides e-commerce, online ordering, and related platform services, and Google Analytics for Firebase (provided by Google LLC), which provides analytics, crash reporting, and app performance data.
  • Our retail locations and staff so they can fulfill pickup or delivery orders and apply loyalty benefits
  • Payment processors, if you pay through the App or a linked checkout
  • Professional advisors (legal, accounting) under confidentiality obligations
  • Authorities when required by law, court order, or cannabis regulatory obligations (including METRC or other state tracking systems where applicable to a purchase)
  • A buyer or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy

As disclosed in the Google Play Data safety section, we do not share collected App data with unaffiliated third parties for their independent use. Aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you may be used or shared for analytics and business reporting.

8. Apple App Store and Google Play Disclosures

Consistent with current store listings, data that may be linked to you includes location (including precise location, if permitted) and contact information (name, email, phone). That data may be used for App functionality, product personalization, analytics, and our own advertising or marketing.

Data is encrypted in transit. You may request deletion of your account data as described below.

9. Retention

We retain different categories of information for specific periods:

  • Account, profile, and loyalty information: Retained while your account is active and for up to 1 year after account closure, deletion request, or last activity, unless a longer period is required by law.
  • Order and transaction records (including product details, quantities, and related identifiers): Retained for 5 years after the date of the transaction to comply with Michigan cannabis regulatory requirements (including CRA recordkeeping rules), tax obligations, and business record needs.
  • Analytics, usage, device, and diagnostic data (including data processed by Google Analytics for Firebase): Retained for up to 14 months.
  • Support communications and related records: Retained for up to 2 years after the last interaction.
  • Push notification tokens and similar technical identifiers: Retained while the feature is active or for a shorter operational period.

When the applicable retention period ends (or when data is no longer needed for the purposes described in this Policy), we delete or de-identify the information. Legal, regulatory, or security needs may require us to retain certain records longer.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure hosting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity on your account.

11. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

  • Access or update profile information in the App
  • Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link
  • Disable push notifications and location access in device settings
  • Request a copy of personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your App account and associated personal data, subject to legal retention requirements (for example, completed cannabis sales records we must keep)

To exercise these rights, email management@nccbud.com from the address on your account and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

If you are a Michigan resident, you may have additional rights under applicable state law. Contact us at the email above to inquire.

12. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. Parents or guardians who believe a minor has provided information should contact us immediately so we can delete it.

13. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may contain links to our website, maps, payment pages, or other third-party services. Those services have their own privacy practices. This Policy applies only to information we collect through the App and our related services.

14. International Users

The App is intended for customers in Michigan, United States. If you access the App from another jurisdiction, you understand that information may be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

15. Changes to This Policy
